Hi, I'm Topher and I'm an H2Haholic…
Head2Head.com notified me this week that registration is now open for their second annual College Football Salary Cap competition. I quickly realized how much of a degenerate I am by not only signing up over four months prior to kickoff but by attempting to set my roster for week one. Not to my surprise, the players list with their respective salaries is not yet available. Last year saw many players that could be had on the cheap that could consistent…

With the conference championships looming and Super Bowl XLIII to follow, fans of the teams left out of the mix are eagerly anticipating the draft in April. The great thing, among many, about the most exciting drafting process in all of sports is that it becomes a competition in it of itself. It’s a contest that, yes, even the Detroit Lions can emerge victorious. While it won’t give a team like the Lions their first notch in the win column in over sixteen months, it is capable of spurring unbrid…

I got bit of a bug over the holidays so I apologize to my tens of loyal readers expecting these ratings yesterday. It’s the final round of the playoffs and if you find yourself trailing then it’s time to nail a huge lineup and overcome that deficit And if you, like me, went with Chase Daniel in round one then you’re no doubt looking to make up a lot of ground. Here are the players that can
help you do that:

Welcome to the playoffs! You had great season but you can forget all about it starting...now. You have zero points. You probably have an invalid lineup and even though you may have went 14-0 you could still get outcoached by the guy that went 4-10 and stumbled into the playoffs based on points. You can say your goodbyes to guys like Chase Coffman and Jermaine Gresham. They have no place in your playoff lineups at their new prices. They earned their pay raises but with us they just earned a slab…

The obvious challenge in any salary cap game is locating bargain players who solidly contribute while at the same time giving the owner the opportunity to afford the big name no-brainer producers.
Head2Head.com doesn’t really assist patrons in that matter to the detriment of most apathetic owners. The site does publish each week which grouping of players would have netted the most points while staying under the $100M salary cap but it doesn’t provide any analysis when it comes to consistent poi…

I’m not sure how many of you actually read my blog about Head2Head.com salary cap fantasy college football. Not very many from what I can tell by the lack of commentary (zero comments except from Vince). Hopefully the ones that do are taking the advice. I snuck in the new header exclusively for the Ning Forum - any thoughts?
John Huss and I had the concept to integrate all the BCS bowl stadiums (Superdome, Rose, Dolphins, Arizona) and the magic of Doug Klem on the Photoshop made it pretty sharp.
That is why we are all here right, to get to the championships? We think the graphic embodies that.
Plus I never cared for that panorama shot.

I am hiding this article here to benefit those of you on the Forum specifically.
Wait as long as possible to draft your Kicker, and when you do grab Arizona K
Jason Bondzio.
Dude is at the helm of an emerging offense, they have a ridiculously easy start to the season (Idaho, Toledo, at New Mexico and at UCLA) and he was 8-10 from 40+ last year!
Nice mix of opportunities there, and you know you can always get a solid K on free agency (see Weber, Thomas and Summers, Chris from 2007)…

Yep, no more "Florida QB" or "Boise State RB" - a mainstream media outlet has finally stepped up with individual player names for fantasy college football.
CBS Sports debuted its new offering on Tuesday to the delight of many while making others wonder what took so long. As I have wondered aloud often, how can the #3 most popular spectator sport in the nation not even exist in fantasy popularity?
It has to do with access to information, and despite the excellent work done by

Not Fantasy College Blitz but my blog

I use the blog to post my thoughts on college football when it does not relate directly to fantasy insight, but besides posts with Erin Andrews, Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow it has never generated huge amounts of traffic.
SO if you could vote on the three options I would appreciate it…

I am commissioner, and they are my rules - I am going to experiment just a little bit.
FCB Select on U-Sports.com
Standard offensive scoring, but passing 25 yards gets a point. I thought about 5 pts for pass TD instead of 4 but stayed with 4.
Rosters are all-FBS, and you need depth: You have to play 2 QBs, 3 RB, 3WR, 2 Flex, 1 each TE, K, D
Yds from Scrimmage: Yards 0.1, TDs 6
Passing: Yards 0.04, TDs 4, In…

Our Chief Fantasy Officer (CFO)

1. Miami Dolphins -- Jake Long, OT, Michigan
Jake Long is the pick that the media is reporting is a lock as the Fins are reportedly close to a contract worked out. However there are also plenty of doubters out there who think Bill Parcels is throwing out a smoke-screen and if this turns out to be true do not be surpris…

Like turning down a drunken advance from

Was anyone complaining that the games are too long? Methinks only people in the stands when CBS or FOX broadcasts since those games tend to be about ten minutes longer than others.
Here is a quick recap of the rule changes:

Guest writer today is the College Gridiron Boss, a unique blog that focuses mostly on college football coaching. Here is his excellent breakdown for one of the more consistently productive jobs in the game - the QB playing in a Rich Rodriguez spread option (see Dantzler, Woody and White, Pat).
Now that
Terelle Pryor is going to Ohio State, Michigan's first year head coach Rich Rodriguez will have to settle for a second choice signal caller.
With the growth of the spread option, d…
