This year, I'm ready for some real competition. I have never played in an internet league (mine were by email/phone). I would like to be able to play in the same fantasy league as you. Are you playing any leagues that have an open spot I could take? If not could you put my name out there amoungst your "crew" or refer me to where I can play it on-line. Maybe it's too early but so far all I see is U-Sports site. I don't mind paying to play at all, though some free sites would also be good so I can play in some more leagues.
here's a funny story from last season: Once I found your site last season (about week 4), I told my main competition(my best friend) in last year's league to go check it out. He didn't seem interested. I was KICKING his ass (and he was in 2nd place) by mid-season. I kept suggesting that he seek advice from your site! (saying he needed it- BADLY!) He kept acting like he was never gonna visit the site (and posturing that he couldn't even remember the name of it.) "What is it, oh let me write down. I can't find a pen right now, I'll get it later." He'd say over the phone to me. At that point I figured he would never visit it and I began to give at advice and reveal my own targets of player plays and FA pickups for the week. My budy's site name was "Knowsalot": a name he picked to try and provoke me into arguements on your site with, but I never really bit into bickering with him. But one time my friend(a season ticket holder at Rocky Top) was arguing on the phone to me about the Tenn. Vols. I disagreed on the point. I went to your site that night, and Knowsalot had posted basically the same arguement, but it was posted 2 days before our phone conversation. Knowsalot said he was a season ticket holder and blah blah blah. Upon reading it, I replied back that that if I didn't know better (if I knewalot), I'd swear he was my budy in rogue but I then added that I know that could be possible since by that time; I had been seeing Knowsalot post for awhile. I said to my friend on our next call that maybe he wasn't so off on his Tenn point since 2 people separately that go to all the games seem to see it one way, while I'm out in California just reading about the game on-line (they make us pay for about half of Tenn games on PPV-and why would I care to buy that CRAP!) He really got a kick out of it when in February he revealed that he was indeed Knowsalot. He was also able to spygate me in week 13 . . .picking my brain as Knows on who "HE" . . .i.e. who was I going to pick up then stealing him from me in FA since he had the pick before me! LOL
Hope you got a kick out of that story . . .and yes, I'm still long winded!
p.s. I'm about as computer savoy as Cedric Benson is sober . . .so I . . of course . . .downloaded the incorrect picture of my son and NOT ME but my cousin.
Hope to hear back soon as I am itching for the season to start . . .at least the fantasy draft to happen! (of course I need a league first) . . .is there any site that has a "mock college draft" going on like ESPN has for the pros . . .very unlikely but worth a shot!
