Goodbye sweet Fantasy goldmine. You have been so good to us since the arrival of your late leader June Jones. We will never forget how your Offensive players would made us feel so warm inside when they lit up opposing defenses. We would stay up until the late hours of the night waiting to see the offensive fireworks light up the big Island night.
I will never forget Ashlie Lelie Blowing up over the last part of the 2001 season and helping me win my 2nd HFL (Harrison Football League) Championship or Drafting Nate Illoa and watching my opponents snicker to themselves only to have those snickers turn into pouting whimpers when he would turn in big games on a regular basis.
Ohhh I miss you so much already.. Why June ? Why did you leave us?

I hosted a Luau for last years game against San Jose State - Hawaiian shirts were mandatory, we served Hawaiian pizza, etc. Good times, especially the 89 yd FG by Dan Kelly into the wind to tie the game! I think Colt ran for 2 or 3 TD in that one also.

My favorite memory though was them coming back to beat Washington in the fianl regular season game in 2007 - I had money on Hawaii going over 11 wins and I was SWEATING.

I am starting to change my tune about Hawaii 2008 - no Graunke really worries me. In fact, I downgraded Malcolm Lane out of my Top Ten.

I'd leave too . . . if after putting the U on the football map . . . the school simply refused to built NEW facilities! June did all he could, HW didn't want to MAINTAIN the leap into the BIG TIME he took last season . . . so he bolted for SMU (committed!) I don't blame him! I blame a U greedy to keep the cash that's rolling in . . . shortsited move!
